STILES: Minister Cho's resignation offers no explanation for his hotel expenses

QUEEN'S PARK — Following the news that Doug Ford's Tourism Minister Stan Cho resigned from his cabinet post in light of his hotel expenses scandal, Official Opposition Leader Marit Stiles has issued the following statement:

"Let's be clear: MPP Cho's resignation does not explain the $16,000 in hotel expenses that he racked up. This Minister was riding high, living the suite life on the taxpayer dime, and is now trying to dodge accountability because he got caught.

"Let's not forget that former Minister Cho was not alone in his suite life adventures. PC MPPs billed taxpayers over $120,000 for their luxury hotel stays. MPP Hardeep Grewal spent nearly $30,000, Nina Tangri and Charmaine Williams also billed the taxpayer tens of thousands of dollars. Do they still have the Premier's confidence?

"Ford's MPPs were caught with their hands in the taxpayer's pockets, and it's time for some real answers."
